Weekend Tarot Goodness: The Rider (Strength)

"I'm the king of the world!!"- Jack Dawson, Titanic

Others will be feeling competitive, free, fit, fierce, and fabulous.  Or maybe just fierce and fabulous but the point is that this is how patience, preparation and accomplishment all lead us to feel.  Isn't it lovely?  Whee.

In addition, we become resilient, more resistant to crap, and we mature swiftly and precisely in necessary areas.  Or else.  Perhaps some will even begin to lead by example, miracle of miracles!

By the way, if pondering a leadership position the Rider is the card you want behind ya.  We're talking dynamic, charismatic, mesmerizing, dignified, commanding, powerful, willful energy through this card here.  We're talking people suddenly believing in themselves, and the presence of true and divine power.  Some, although they require a certain amount of training still, as they become more disciplined, will feel like they can take on the world.

And I hope they do already because I'm a little tired of hearing and reading about people taking on the world one day... and then whining about all the work and persistence involved the next.

The potentially unfortunate side of this card involves resignation, crossing a serious boundary due to arrogance or anger gone awry, and avoidance of/escaping responsibility and honesty.  I mean the Rider is clearly either jumping over a hurdle or a boundary.  And we don't really know if he makes it over either one (there is your mystery but forewarned is forearmed).

Being a liar is an entirely different story though.  And the worst part is, a good deal of us will be on to who's full of it.

If you like your freedom, I suggest some of you behave.

Folks who are ready to confront a fear, come clean, showcase skills/training or talents, or forge ahead with precision and the right attitude and good pacing, then, will benefit.  So will some athletes, masters, managers, leaders, entrepreneurs, and trainers, especially as they help others feel more brave and in-control of themselves, soothing others' inner rage and putting it to good use.  Example of good use: turning someone's anger into a muscle-building regimen or self-defense program.

Give direction, obey-- whatever works.

Just keep in mind this isn't overly-aggressive, show-offy, and untamed, all-over-the-place energies we should be working with since they lead to major stupidity, accidents, or stupid and entirely preventable accidents.

So, as funny as someone punching him/herself in the face by accident sounds, try to remain focused/grounded, firm, and assertive, ideally in an environment suitable to growth and discipline.

Let weirdo, asshole, or reckless drivers go ahead of you.

If you want to be proud of your efforts and projects and performance, earning respect, then being in charge of some circus performance ain't gonna cut it.  Entertainment, lessons, and creativity really shouldn't come in tacky and/or lazy forms at this point.  They need to be rich and satisfying, and carried out in a responsible fashion.

Some need structure, a hobby, an activity, a life, or to be placed in one of those awesome prison-like schools that are prison-like only because they don't allow cellphones and handheld game devices in classrooms.  (Wah.)

Others will start to plan for a retreat.

And, just so you know, I'm in no way anti-anger.

I am, however, anti-anger-gone-dumbass.  So while there may be opportunity in challenges, I'd suggest not forcing yourselves, your plans, your ideals, your vision, and so forth onto anyone, or attacking innocent folks.  People are territorial.

Random irrational and/or violent outbursts may become 'tranqulized'.

Those of us ready to resign from a certain position can use this time to plan for that without a mountain's worth of guilt or fear upon our shoulders.  This card means "I'm ready" but, again, pacing and timing matters

If you're being held back or feel consumed or overwhelmed by anger, resentment, or frustration, and think you might chop the heads off your colleagues (maybe even your own head), now would be a good time to aim to leave an unhealthy situation as soon (and as amicably) as possible.

On the other hand, those of us unwilling to behave or take on a challenge like we know we're supposed to, and for as long as we're supposed to...  Well, this weekend might suck royal balls.

The Rider represents big-time can-do energy/spirit that needs to be released and emotions that need relief.  That said you probably don't want to be known as a 'deadbeat' or douchebag.  (Or maybe you do but this card kinda favors the opposite of all that.)

Do what's correct.  If you can't lead and guide here, let someone else do the leading and guiding.  Don't lead for the sake of leading or satisfying your ego because a whole bunch of people will result kinda, or ridiculously, fucked up, dissatisified, and/or miserable.  Understand that a certain position or place may not be what is meant for you.

Deeply consider life with a "wild animal" (or an emotionally and/or mentally draining or dangerous barbarian).

Keep your own inner wild-child in check.

Or, if you must, summon your inner-tiger because you might need it badly in order to better deal with shit or function in general over the weekend.

You don't need a heavy hand, a weapon, or an intimidating voice and presence to teach/train.  Unless, of course, you're teaching/training others how to use weapons, ideally in self-defense.

Those of you watching deadbeats, corrupt douchebags, self-proclaimed leaders/superiors, even lazy partners ride off into the sunset: congratulations.

Many are off to a good start somewhere.  Keep it up.   Keep up the self-belief, sense of humor, and (healthy dosage of) confidence, too.  It's all kinda necessary right now.

Enjoy your weekend!
