Tarot Goodness for the Week of February 21st-27th: The Stork (Aces)

Special delivery!

Now, don't go and choke on your own spit with the thought of a bitter ex or one-night-stand on the other side of the states phoning you suddenly to notify you she's had your baby.  Yes, the Stork, the card of the week, can indicate the arrival of a baby (if so, congrats), but its meaning isn't limited to childbirth and we're not necessarily living the movie "Fools Rush In" starring Salma Hayek and Matthew Perry here.

Or ARE we?

Seriously, we're bursting at the seams with information, announcements, excitement and all sorts of other fun emotions this week.  Because what the Stork brings is long-awaited news and truths, gifts, blessings, success, questions, requests, confessions, long-anticipated outcomes or results, prosperity, a contribution or donation, information needed to kick-off something started a while back, something that turns your world upside down, or even revenge.

Juicy, extra-marinated, well-deserved and even undeserved revenge.

Well, storks are territorial, protective creatures that make appetizers out of (poisonous) snakes.  What else can I say?

Whatever comes is to be expected.  And like the arrival of a baby, it could change you, your perspective, your life for years to come.

This card symbolizes something, someone or some (preferably healthy) scenario to change or challenge your life or overall perspective, values, beliefs.  In a good way.  For example, certain truths may hurt, but they are intended to help us in the long run.  Or a pink slip may hurt, but its intention now is to kick our asses out of a professional situation we don't even want anymore.

What some have been holding onto for a long time has made them unhappy, and now many will be thrust into a new, perhaps intimidating or hesitant, but overall rewarding experience.

The kick in the butt we'll receive is the kick in the butt we've needed and/or wanted for some time.

This week marks the ending of an old responsibility or grueling cycle and the beginning of a new one for ourselves and even  others.  And regardless of how ugly or pretty all this comes about, how strong or forceful our "labor pains" might be, this process is, or will turn out to be, something of a blessing for us.

No transition feels truly successful in the long run without its labor pains.

Some experiences in life are just not easy.  "That" doesn't necessarily happen just because we've done "this".   Some of us will have to do more, try harder.

As for bullies...  Oh, bullies might wish to be prepared for quite a memorable literal or figurative karmic lashing.  And when I say "bullies", I refer to people who've attacked others physically, emotionally,. mentally, etc.  Many have reached a point in which they loathe bullies and won't be afraid to admit this-- and rightfully so.

Good.

This is also a good time to pay attention to the behavior of animals and any messages we'll receive through them.  Animals sense danger, for example, well before humans do.  It's no surprise that the human species is referred to as the dumbest... because many of us have traded in our own animal instincts for craptastic priorities (dramatics, obsessions, greed, competitiveness, viciousness, alcohol, drugs, etc).

The Stork translates to the Aces of the Rider-Waite deck.  So we're working with all four elements, this week-- air (logic), fire (energy), earth (senses), water (emotion).  We're striking some kind of a balance.  And all of the Aces (ace of cups, ace of wands, ace of swords, ace of coins) are powerful introductory cards.  They welcome new and better ways of building strength and courage, managing our emotions and finances and schedules, producing, expressing our thoughts and words and creativity, and earning what we're truly worth (what we deserve).  These cards represent potential and possibility and, boy, are things looking good and fair and fearless from here.

That said, expect a powerful, swift boost in whatever you choose to focus on this week.  Or an abrupt change in course or direction via an offer, experience, loss.  Or a welcoming into a new team or family, where you may be called upon to lead.  Or some of life's labor pains.  Any or all is for the best.  We are needed somewhere else.

Some of us need to be prepared to meet with someone's wrath.  It's not gonna be pretty, and that's because it's not gonna feel pretty.  In fact, it may be downright painful.  Some could be replaced, dumped, let go of, left alone.  Others could have the depths of their souls penetrated or destroyed.  And still others could have their  noses broken in about three places.  But then, when has revenge ever manifested attractively?

All others should take advantage of a week to smush bullying enemies like the cockroaches they honestly are.  They're not going to go away thanks to avoidance, compassionate meditation sessions, prayers or positive thinking, OK?  They're going to scurry away when we turn on some lights and put our feet down.  And if that should fail, I assure you that an exterminator will not.

Enough is enough.  No more tip-toeing around our circumstances for the sake of being polite and tolerant.  These cards show up to remind us that we're not as powerless as others would like us to feel.  So feel powerful, beautiful, almighty, and don't allow anyone to make you feel less than that.

Save e-mails, voicemails, text messages, letters, and other correspondences received this week.  They may prove useful later.

May the force be with all, and to all a good week...
