Tarot Goodness for the Week of February 7th-13th: The Flowers (4 of Wands)
Oohs and ahs for most this week, courtesy of the Flowers (4 of Wands). Here we find the expression of our gifts and talents. The receipt and giving of gifts. Kissing and making up. And surprises waiting to be opened and explored...
What can I say? When we're good, we're good. When we're good (accomplished), we feel good. And when we feel good, we look fan-fucking-tastic.
But before I get into more of the fabulousness of this week, let's get the bullshit out of the way first, shall we?
OK, I don't know what the deal is with folks out there putting us on hold like they're fucking customer service representatives, but the shit has to stop.
No, the shit will stop because we'll say so, this week. No more waiting around, hanging onto the charms of others, distracted by brittle promises. Many of us are too annoyed with some of you to even begin to conceive the notion of waiting around for you to give us an answer. What is so hard about saying "yes" or "no"?
Just fucking say "yes" or "no" already and get it over with. This way, some of us can proceed with our plans without worrying if Princess Douchebag is going to interrupt her busy schedule and join us. It's rude to keep anyone on hold like this, whether you think you're important and too good for others or not.
I hate to break your heart (wait, no I don't) but no one thinks you're that important. And we all have schedules. So you may want to be careful with your usage of the word maybe this week. It could piss off the person who's been there for you most so far. You don't want to do that.

Folks, the show is gonna go on with our without our attendance. Have you taken a look around lately? Who is *that important* anymore?
No one. And if you think otherwise, I suggest you have your head examined promptly... because we're in a whole other ballgame now! Yes, yes. Just when we think we know what New Age means, we'll realize that we're only beginning to enter an actual new age. A real one, involving a new way of thinking that works this time, not the kind that's shoved "love" and "compassion" down our throats by stoned folks who have no idea what love, even respect for others, actually is.
Now. as I've mentioned at the top of this week's reading, we'll be bestowed with the opportunity to display our talents and show others what we've got. And some will be sorry for having fucked with us so long, believe me. Whether your gift/talent is writing, cooking, building, baking, leading ants to food, juggling, a sense of humor, etc, this is your week to showcase it like Van Morrison did at that concert where he walked on stage, sung, and then walked off stage. Simply. On that evening, Morrison made no big deal of his talent. He didn't seek sympathy or glory or applause.
No, Van Morrison did what he did best, and that was perform. Some say he appeared angry at this particular performance. And if he was angry, well, good.
Anger is an underrated yet excellent boost for creative types. Anger is juice. Anger helps you prove others wrong about you. Anger gets us through the worst and it gives us immeasurable strength. Anger helped my mother heal from a divorce immediately so that she could care for her young son, my older brother, back in the seventies. And pride never allowed her to feel less than anyone else.
Anger says "fuck you" to those therapists, teachers, mentors, leaders, etc, who only want to manipulate how you deal with your emotions and perhaps control you by medicating you.
Anger brings out your core and your best, ... if you allow it. I'd allow it to do so this week. You never know what kind of response you're gonna get.

The Flowers translates to the Four of Wands of the traditional Rider-Waite deck. Seems others have been waiting for us to let 'er rip. Social situations are afoot.
Well, the podium or soapbox is ours now. No use letting this opportunity go to waste. Let's say what needs to be said, and move on. We've got work to do, and even if it's destined to be great, even if we're scheduled for a victory this week, our work won't be great without us behind it.
That said, put a smile on your face and your best foot forward.
Now, onward. You'll be better off without the company of douchebags. And don't give me the "I have no talent" crap. Everyone is good at something, so use what you're good at.
Have a great week.
