Thursday Thoughts: Keep the Faith

I realize that there's a lot of crap going around attempting to make us believe that there are far less people out there doing amazing things than those who are sharing a dirty dark cloud wherever they go a la Pig Pen.

But listen up.  Believing any of that junk is going to keep us on a downward spiral, economically and beyond.  I know it's hard to 'cleanse' ourselves of the nasty disease that is negativity (discouragement, doubt, etc), but we'll all be doing ourselves a great big favor if we can focus on what is being done right and support the one(s) doing it.  The reasons we focus on celebrity-disasters, for example, are that they are more entertaining, they distract us from our responsibilities to ourselves and others, they make us feel a little better about ourselves and needed... when we are already needed, naturally.

I'm kind of a nobody on paper--  not a psychologist, doctor, lawyer, CEO, parent, leader in any capacity, etc-- but stupid I am not.  I have consulted several of these kinds of professionals (without charge) and it's because I happen to have a clue and see in them something that they can't seem to get across to others or, at times, believe about themselves no matter how powerful they actually are.  Through doing so, I have earned trust, respect and support that is only growing, and so I've decided to share my vision for a better PRESENT (and potentially future), no matter how big or small our challenges might appear-- and ALL without your participation in some douchey pyramid scheme!  Isn't that news?

Understand that, while we may possess or work with less, many of us are not fighting for a last piece of bread for nourishment.  That we still possess all the capability in the world to rise above our current struggles and that the world will respond in kind.   It usually does, just not in the way in which we might want it to, when we want it to.

What is happening in our societies is a result of doing the worst of somethings and not very much of our best.  We've become far too dependent and indulgent on oodles of relationships, beliefs, illusions, etc, that haven't been good for us.  AT all.  So before we start farting out diarrhea, let's start taking an individualized form of leadership for ourselves here.  I think that, beneath all those layers of fear of rejection and humiliation and other assorted mentally-infused nonsense, we all inwardly believe this to be true, anyway.  That we need to take responsibility for ourselves and cease getting angry when others don't quite measure up to our demands or expectations or whatever.

I wasn't joking or smoking crack when I'd suggested a modern  Foreign Exchange program in which we send lazy assholes and their wasted energy to third-world countries where they'd learn, from scratch, how to survive and how to work instead of sitting back and awaiting a check while many of us actually put something into the development of this country and our world.  In turn, and to be fair, we'd allow hardworking foreigners into the US, where they'd thrive through opportunities we take for granted and not otherwise offered by their respective nations.  (Aren't we lucky I'm not a politician?)

I assure you that our visions can, and will, manifest and grow as much as we want them to if we are willing to focus our attention, energy, beliefs, etc, on what really matters and if we're fair about all of it, keeping ourselves and others under consideration.  I'm proof of this, going from not wanting to really exist after the loss of my brother six years ago (and really not caring about whatever the f*ck the world turned into) to finding tons of reasons to live per day and becoming stronger.  And I'm not the only one.

                                 Seriously?

Want more proof of those manifested visions?  Look no further than 2009, when we'd witnessed tons of visions, most of 'em stupid, manifesting into celebrity stardom-- Octomom, Gosselins, Balloon Boy, Heidi Montag, Tila Tequila, the Kardashian sisters, Sarah Palin, Insert Nightmarish Fame Whore Here.

These idiots are known as 'celebrities' for what, now?

Puh-leeze.  You don't believe that Octomom is more talented than you, do you?  That the Kardashians are remotely intelligent?  That Jon Gosselin is anything more than a jackass?  That Sarah Palin isn't pooping out of her mouth whenever she speaks in public?  Neither of these freak shows, nor others like them, belong on national television or in the papers.  They don't deserve a fucking podium.  They haven't earned the right to become 'known' worldwide for...   For what, again?  What contributions of theirs are we fucking talking about here, media-dicks?

It's times like these I wish George Carlin were still alive so that he can tear these guys all-new asses.

As long as we keep supporting fame whores, they'll exist.  And they'll exist big, taking up big space that could be put to better use on our planet.

The Libra I am, I somehow feel the need to be fair in my assessment, here, so I'll give you one positive outcome of fame-whorishness.  It's the only one I could find, and it goes a little something like this:

If these poor excuses for human beings have been heard and noticed, so can you!

And many of us will finally be heard and noticed as the climate continues to change and moods boil and brains shrink to pea-sized morsels and cans of whoop-ass are opened and many realize that they need _______.  Can't ignore reality.  Can't ignore the consequences of irresponsibility and arrogance and greed and stupidity.  Sarah Palin and all other vomit-inducing 'celebrities' are precisely why we should support leaders who see our picture for what it really is, dissecting it and beginning to demonstrate how we can make our circumstances work for us.  It has to be gut-wrenching to watch some of them sashay in a nicer wardrobe than yours THANKS TO YOUR TAX DOLLARS.  It has to be frightening to imagine these folks influencing anyone.

And if we are those leaders, even small leaders, we shouldn't stop our missions.  We shouldn't become so frustrated that we tire and give up.  Not now, not for any scumbag or fear surrounding a future we haven't even met yet.  Good leaders are needed to develop Powerpoint presentations that will help set us up on a less f*cked-up road than the one we're currently on.   If it takes torches and a big ol' revolution to get us on our feet again, or to defend us from getting f*cked up the wahoo, then so be it.  We've had revolutions bring us to better places in the past.  They're not all that bad, you "if-you-can't-say-something-nice-then-say-nothing-at-all" suckers.  If they're for a good enough cause then, hell, count me in.  It's where some of us are headed, anyhow.

By the way, how much better off would our world be if all of these celebrity wannabes were sent to, say, Thailand to plant seeds and grow their own food?  Now THAT would be a reality show worth watching!

                                       HOT

Keep the faith.  Not in an invisible savior and everything else expected of us, but in yourself and in the reality that we can recover from almost anything if we want to...

“Keep the faith” is the best advice one can give in such a decadent situation.
All these “whoreish people”, women in chief but not only, that for mere and only fame, to be “celebrities”, would sell their mother, themselves they provided to sell from much much time...
    Contribution to humankind? Zero!
On the other side, this game cannot be infinite lasting...
