Financial Loft?

Yes, Financial Loft.

A brand-spankin' new category on this site, Financial Loft is designed to reach out to as many folks as possible with tips, advice and guidance on, even answers to, financial questions.   Additionally, it will serve the purpose of bestowing the public with financial humor in these depressing times.

Chris Dlugozima, my husband and the brains of this operation, has worn the hat of a Certified Consumer Credit Counselor for the past eight years.  But Chris has not only counseled thousands of clients-- he's also conducted numerous financial workshops throughout New York and New Jersey for various non-profits, employers, schools and other community organizations.

Actually, for those that don't need financial help and are willing to fork over hundreds of dollars per hour to his other employer, Inspirica, Chris also tutors math to High school students.  In addition, he spends time volunteering for Make a Wish, where, for the past decade, he has helped to create wishes for children with life-threatening illnesses.

As part of the Financial Loft team, I am the layout and content tweaker as well as the polisher of each publication.  And, sure, I'll sometimes burst into a jumpy flame of ideas, topics or suggestions.  But most of my time will be spent behind the scenes, ensuring that each article receives the sparkly recognition it deserves.

Our goal is to share two new articles per week.  If you have a financial question, comment, suggestion, rant, budgeting tip or shout out, feel free to email us and we'll include your thoughts in our Financial Loft Mailbox Q & A.

Welcome to our Financial Loft.

What a great idea.  I have to put in my two cents (haha), which is about what I had to my name when Chris helped me craft what is now my financial life.  His budgeting tips, envelope system (ask him about it -- it works!) and most importantly his non-judgmental approach helped change my life.  I am ever grateful.

Looking forward to checking in on the Financial Loft.  Rock on, Chris and Deb.

      Thanks so much

I agree-- Chris is definitely the one to work with in terms of rebuilding credit or simply creating a budget.  He's most personable, honest and humorous, putting his clients at ease from day one.  I am really honored to team up with him in this effort, and cannot wait to dish out the next article!
